Strop Set
Have you ever owned/shaved with a straight razor (cut-throat razor)?
My grandpa has been using one since the Bronze Age (LOL) so I decided to try it out one day. Despite a couple of cuts it was pretty easy and safe. It's quite faster than shaving with any other kind of razor and you get a closer shave. So I decided to buy my own. I searched ebay and found a complete set which I ordered, similar to this one:

You have to use a strop and hone to sharpen it every once in a while, but no only does it look awesome, it also feels god-like when you use it or carry it around.
Does anybody else here use a STRAIGHT-RAZOR? (old fashioned blade used to shave, the ones that fold) What are your opinions on it?
yes i do shave with the old straight razors. unlike some i use it to shave my body with it. in my most unhumble opinion its the best shave you can get. ok so you have to do maintenance on it, waa. some honing a leather strap and a good mug and brush for lather and your good to go. and smooth to boot!!!!
