Does Jojoba oil make a razor blade glide across the face?
I want to get something so when I use my Straight Razor, the blade will glide across my face and not get caught on the hair and cut the skin. If so, is there any particular kind of Jojoba oil I should use?
Blades get caught in hair because the hair is dry.
Wet hair cuts easily and so blades glide across the surface.
But you can't just splash water on. Hair takes a couple of minutes to soak in water. That's why barbers put a wet towel on your face before they start. It is to get the hair to take on moisture.
So shave in the shower after you've been in there a couple of minutes, or right after getting out.
All that shaving cream does is keep the moisture on the hair using a foam or gel. That's why you should apply it a couple of minutes before you shave. The other crap they advertise is of no consequence.
