My female dog was just groomed - and it's driving my male dog crazy?
I just brought my female long-haired german shepard to a pet groomer, and they gave her a "summer coat" (shaved most of her fur off). As soon as I brought her back to my house, my male german shepard has been going crazy for her (smelling/licking her crotch, trying to mount her, etc.). I don't quite understand why -- the female german shepard has been spayed. What's going on?
OMG my dog does this too! lol we have a maltipoo female and everytime we bring her back from the groomer our male dog is all over her, rubs his head on her, smells her etc. and she is spayed and he is neutered. i think its bc A)they smell good and B)excitement that they are back home. my male dog is like depressed while the female is away for grooming so when she is back home he follows her like everywhere for a couple hours lol
